Why should I care about what they
Think when they’ve turned
Their back on me!
As times change so do I,
And also me surroundings.
Maybe I should change my decision,
Or my opinion or so,
Or maybe it is me I have to change.

This was the first poem I've ever written (no really I mean it.) I wrote it back in 2001 when I was in 6th grade. Let's just say I was having a bad day. I submitted this to another site and got into a book. First page too! I think I got an editor's choice award too but I can't remember.
